The Wicklow Wolf Story: 10 Years of Sustainability and Innovation
Founded in 2014 by Simon Lynch and Quincey Fennelly, Wicklow Wolf began with a vision of crafting great beer while giving back to the environment that inspires us. Deeply connected to its home in Wicklow, our philosophy was shaped by the belief that “we do not inherit the land from our ancestors, we borrow it from our children”. Wicklow Wolf strives to honour the environment and give back to the land that provides.
From day one, sustainability has been at the heart of everything we do. We’ve remained true to our core values: brewing exceptional beer in a sustainable way without compromise, sourcing locally, and fostering a deep connection with our local Wicklow community. Our journey has taken us from growing our own hops on our farm to becoming one of Ireland’s leading independent craft breweries, consistently pushing boundaries and innovating for a more sustainable future.
Our Journey to B Corp Certification
Achieving B Corp status has been a rigorous but very rewarding process. A journey that has taken 10 years of hard work and something we have strived to achieve for many years. B Corp certification is granted to businesses that meet high standards of social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency. Over the past three years, we’ve taken a closer look at every aspect of our business — from our energy and water usage to our employee wellbeing and community engagement.
