THE RETURN OF THE DIRE WOLF

Endangered Species No. 59 is something straight out of science fiction – inspired by what can only be described as a real-world Jurassic Park moment. The once-extinct Dire Wolf has been brought back from the brink by genetic engineering lab Colossal, reborn through cutting-edge innovation and boundary-pushing science.

As a nod to the return of this apex predator, we’ve brewed a beer that’s just as big, bold, and fierce. Dire Wolf is a beast of an 8.0% Hazy Double IPA, brewed with an all-Australian hop bill featuring super-fresh Galaxy, Enigma, and Eclipse hops.

It howls with tropical aroma and flavour – delivering waves of passionfruit, juicy peach, ripe pineapple, and zesty citrus, all wrapped in a soft, hazy body. Bold, feral, and unapologetically primal, Dire Wolf is our tribute to something wild reborn.

INTRODUCING BATCH BREW…

After the resounding success of our previous collaboration with @brennansbread, Sliced Can, we’ve reunited to brew a batch made in heaven.

Batch Brew is a light, fruit-forward Pale Ale brewed using surplus Brennans Batch White Loaf – helping to fight food waste, one can at a time.

Expect bright citrus notes, a crisp finish, and a subtle bready backbone.

As part of our commitment to sustainability – and our philosophy of beer brewed better – we’ll once again be planting one native Irish tree on our hop farm in Wicklow for every twelve cans sold.

Find Batch Brew in 4-pack boxes (4 x 330ml) on shelves nationwide from this week.

RUNNING CLUB – May Run Info

We’re back on the trails this month with a visit to the stunning Devil’s Glen in Ashford for our next club run on Friday, 30th May!

Meeting Point: Devil’s Glen Car Park
Time: Meet at 6:45 PM for a 7:00 PM start

Choose from two route options:
– Short Route: 4.6 km – a scenic and social run
– Long Route: 8.5 km – for those up for more of a challenge

What to bring:
– Trail runners
– Fully charged phone for safety

BEER BREWED BETTER

We recently welcomed some amazing volunteers from @rewild_wicklow up to our Hop Farm in Roundwood to help plant some more native Irish trees as part of our ongoing tree planting. We also installed some more fencing around the trees to help protect them from the local deer population.

It was a brilliant day filled with muddy hands, great conversations, and well-earned non-alcoholic beers and pizza to finish.

Beer brewed better is much more than just the brewing exceptional quality beer, it is about community, sustainability and doing the right things. Better tasting, better for environment and better enjoyed with friends. We’re proud to play our part in protecting the place we call home.

Thanks again to everyone who came out and got involved. Here’s to growing a wilder Wicklow.

FROM ONE END TO THE OTHER – CLIFF WALK IS ON TAP!

The Bray to Greystones Cliff Walk may still be officially closed, but this weekend, Cliff Walk Hazy IPA is pouring at both ends of the trail! Whether you`re kicking off in @theharbourbar, Bray, or finishing strong at @thebeachhousegstones, Greystones, you can sit back and raise a pint to the iconic walk at either end.

Brewed to celebrate the stunning trail alongside the Wicklow coastline, Cliff Walk bursts with juicy citrus and tropical fruit flavours. And while you savour your pint, know that a portion of proceeds supports the amazing volunteers at @friendsofthecliffwalk, who are working tirelessly to restore this cherished trail.

So, grab a pint, raise a glass, and cheers to getting the Cliff Walk back open!

OFF SCRIPT

Off Script is a break from tradition, a beer that celebrates doing things a little bit differently. We love trying new things and experimenting with different beer styles and this is a beer inspired by how the team at Highland Park Brewery in LA broke tradition and coined the style `West Coast Pils`. Made using a 50/50 blend of their West Coast IPA and their Pilsner for a festival, the brewer’s took a chance, went off script and the result was a resounding success. This latest Endangered Species has gone off script, from style to label design – things have been done a little different.

Crisp, bold, and unapologetically different, Off Script blends two worlds – a hoppy West Coast IPA and a crisp German-inspired Pilsner. A bright, refreshing Pilsner backbone sets the stage, while citrus, stone fruit, and resinous hop character shine through. Citra hops bring bursts of grapefruit and lime zest, while Tango and Audacia add juicy peach, white grape, and a hint of floral spice. A clean bitterness and crisp finish make this savagely drinkable.

CLIFF WALK

Inspired by the breathtaking Bray to Greystones Cliff Walk, this Hazy IPA celebrates our local Wicklow landscape. Closed since 2021 due to erosion, the Cliff Walk is being restored by the dedicated volunteers of @friendsofthecliffwalk as they work tirelessly to maintain the trail and find solutions for its reopening. A portion of proceeds from every can supports Friends of the Cliff Walk, helping to restore this cherished path for all.

THE BEER:
Brewed with Yakima Chief’s Citra and their latest innovative new hop, Krush, Cliff Walk bursts with bright citrus and tropical fruit aromas. RUNNING CLUB – Feb Recap & March Run Info

February saw the club take on the rugged trails of Laragh, setting off from Trooperstown Woods Car Park for a challenging run up Paddock Hill. With over 50 runners braving the trails after some tough weather, we faced everything from deep puddles to fallen trees and slippery descents. Our efforts were rewarded at the finish with a stunning, starry night and a well-earned sip of Wicklow Wolf 0.5.

Now, we’re gearing up for our next run on Friday, 21st March! This time, we’re heading to the our Hop Farm to take on the trails above Lough Tay.

Meeting Point: Wicklow Wolf Hop Farm – 6:45 PM for a 7:00 PM start

Two Route Options:

Hop Farm to White Hill and Back – 9.1 km | 276 m climb
Hop Farm to JB Malone Memorial and Back – 6.6 km | 189 m climb
